Games Workshop, via Warhammer Community, announced that players who visit a Warhammer store during Warhammer Day weekend (31 October to 1 November) can claim a commemorative Space Marine 2 PC gaming desk mat. The mat depicts Captain Titus astride a landscape of slain Tyranids, with the standard of the Ultramarines 2nd Company raised proudly behind him, marking the second anniversary of Space Marine 2.
To secure the desk mat, a customer must spend £95 / US$130 / €110 (or the local equivalent) or more in a single transaction at a Warhammer store during the weekend. Purchases are not restricted to Space Marines products; anything in store counts toward the threshold, though the official post suggests Captain Titus and The Wardens of Ultramar plus a Bladeguard Veterans Squad as fitting companions.
The desk mat announcement coincides with Space Marine 2 reaching 15 million unique active players, a milestone celebrated jointly by Saber Interactive and Focus Entertainment. The publisher thanked the community, crediting word-of-mouth for the achievement. The game launched on 9 September 2024 across PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, reaching 15 million in just over two years.
Per Focus Entertainment figures, Space Marine 2 crossed 7 million players in June 2025 and 12 million by the end of April 2026 before hitting the new high. The 15 million figure represents total players reached rather than confirmed copies sold, and no platform breakdown or active-player retention data has been disclosed.
Focus Entertainment confirmed that live support for Space Marine 2 will continue into a third year, with more free updates and DLC on the way. The recently released 15.0 update added several PvE modes, a new weapon and a reworked Tactical class. Four more numbered patches are planned through the end of Q3 2027.
The desk mat targets both veterans and newcomers. For long-time players it serves as a physical memento of two years of service; for newcomers, the official message reads "welcome, new Space Marines." Because pickup is in-store only, online-only players must visit a physical location, reinforcing the community's brick-and-mortar character.
Players are advised to use the store locator on the Warhammer Community website to confirm the nearest participating location, since the offer requires an in-store transaction. Stock may be limited, so checking ahead is recommended.
